Resilient is something people tell us they need right now and that’s not surprising given the current world we live in.

Resilience is about maintaining wellbeing in unfavourable conditions. Resilient people are able to accept life changes and adapt to adversity, they bounce back perform more consistently, are happier and more resourceful.

In this programme, we look at resilience in the context of individuals and teams at work. We go beyond general tips for managing stress in the moment, to help you explore what you can do to build your personal resilience for the longer-term. We also look at what it means for a whole team to be resilient, and what role you can play in helping your team to grow stronger through tackling the challenges you face together.

The good news is resilience is not something you have or don’t have but a learnt skills Prof Ann Masten from the University of Minnesota describes resilience as ‘ordinary magic’ because of the many common elements that strengthen resilience.

The programme introduces you to the science of resilience as well as practices and tool you can use to build your resilience muscle. Much of what you will learn you can use to help your family. Friends or work colleagues.

The Programme

The programme covers:

Awareness of what challenges you, what strengths you already have which you can use in different circumstances and what do you need to strengthen and develop. Overall this builds to deepen your self awareness.

Managing reactions and using strategies to help when challenges occur including emotional regulation.

Resources which build greater resilience and practices to adopt for long term resilience including the role of neuroplacity, mindfulness and reflection.

The programme runs over 6 weeks and includes a webinar each week plus online materials 3 one to one coaching sessions and practical tools and techniques. These interactive practical activities involve both engagement with other people and reflection.

It’s essential you are prepared to work through the practical activities that make up a fundamental part of the course.  Resilience is not developed by knowing about the research it also requires changing old habits and adopting new ways of thinking and acting.

This six-week programme has been designed to ensure you make real change. The programme investment is £1200 plus VAT for this you get six webinars, six modules of online materials and three one to one coaching session so you can really apply the insights to your situation.

Timing

The programme will start in April/May 2020. Webinars will accommodate participants’ time zones. A full timetable will be published before the programme commences.
